Install RadioAgent24, select one of thousands of radio stations and let your computer run. RadioAgent24 records the music being played the whole day, converts the particular songs to MP3 files, names them with interpret and title and saves them on your computer…

If you listen to Internet Radio with Winamp, which has the largest selection of stations, try using Stream Ripper 32 to record the individual songs.

By using a simpletrick, you can easily suspend the auto-play feature and use the CD the way you want. The simple trick is to press and hold down the Shift key while inserting the CD. This will bypass the auto-play function

Life Without Mouse >> Tips & Tricks

If you suffer from any form of RSI – Repetitive
Strain Injury – or tension when using a keyboard and mouse, you can
minimise your movements by learning a few simple keyboard commands to
help your navigate the system. In principle, you can replace the mouse
with keyboard alternatives for virtually all operations on a Windows
PC.
Learning just four shortcuts – ALT-Space, ALT-Tab, Ctrl-Esc and Ctrl-Arrow can reduce your use of the mouse by about 50%. Microsoft have produced a handy web reference page which describes the most common and useful keyboard shortcuts. They are also described in more detailat this link. Most keyboards have a key on either side
of the space key between the Alt and Ctrl keys with a Windows logo on
it. This is the Windows button. If you press it, the Start menu is
displayed. Below is a list of other functions that the Windows button
(called Windows Logo below) can do when it is pressed in combination
(at the same time) with other keys.

  • Windows Logo alone: opens the Start menu
  • Windows Logo and R: opens the Run dialog box
  • Windows Logo and M: minimizes all all of the windows.
  • Windows Logo, SHIFT, and M: undoes the minimize all function that the previous combination did.
  • Windows Logo and F1: starts Windows’ Help and Support Center.
  • Windows Logo and E: opens Windows Explorer
  • Windows Logo and F: opens Windows Explorer’s Search to find files or folders.
  • Windows Logo and D: minimizes all open windows and displays the desktop.
  • Windows Logo, Ctrl, and F: opens Windows Explorer’s Search to find computers on the network.
  • Windows Logo, Ctrl, and TAB: if the focus is on Start, Quick
Launch, or the system tray, this moves the focus among these three
menus (use RIGHT ARROW or LEFT ARROW to move focus to items on the
Quick Launch toolbar and the system tray). This is helpful if your
mouse is not working and you need to navigate using the keyboard.
  • Windows Logo and TAB: cycle through taskbar items.
  • Windows Logo and Break: display the System Properties dialog box.

Spyware Warrior: Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites

This is one of the best sources for protecting yourself on the Net. It’s not Viruses so much nowadays, but these more insidious forms of Malware. Some of it comes disguised as protection! Here is a list of bogus ones and further down the page a list of good ones. Many are free. There is also a list of removal tools, if it is already too late.

It is a good idea to run 2 of these catch the ones that get missed, as this is a constantly changing battlefield. Choose your weapons carefully. I use Spybot. The new version updates automatically and tries to defend you. But, I also run Super Anti Spyware. While  you have to manually Update it, it finds more hidden bad guys and does a better job of removing them.
